Large Choc cichlid not feeding Empty Large Choc cichlid not feeding

My new (2 weeks in my company) large choc seems very reluctant to eat still. He shows slight interest though it is very minimal interest and even when something goes into the mouth, it usually gets spat back out. Will quite happily gulp frozen blocks of bloodworm but still spits half of them out and will nibble hikari pellets but again spits them out.

I'm really starting to stress about waht to try, it ignores chopped prawns and any peas or sweetcorn. HALP!

Large cichlids are normally pretty "sulky" when they are moved tanks I have found. Rusty my oscar went weeks doing the same spitting food out. Its taken the parrots I move 3 weeks now to eat almost normally. I wouldnt worry too much at this stage, fish can go weeks without eating, just be firm and dont be too tempeted to keep trying "treat" foods Smile
