Large Female Angel

Hi all,

I am on the look out for a large (i.e. sexable) female angelfish. Ideally gold or platinum. The reason for this search is that I have a beautiful gold male angel that is very lonely and could do with some company. I'd like gold or platinum so I don;t introduce a more dominant colour and lose the strong gold of this male. He is in my office tank and the other members of the team would find a breeding pair fascinating. My LFS has some very small platinums in but they don't look very strong fish.

Are you still looking? I have been asked if I can take a koi marked angel (white with a gold cap and 1 black stripe), I know its female as it is a rescue I had that I re-homed 12 months ago, but the person is looking to change the set up. I have told them I cant take any fish at the moment until these little oscars have gone, is it any good to you if its still available?

Yeah, only trouble will be getting it. Where abouts is it located?

Its with a friend in Erdington, I have put the baby oscars on ac this morning, hopefully they will go quick. I will give her a ring this morning to check she still has it and we can go from there

I'm still searching for a female if anyone knows of one OR if anyone see's any albino angelfish at their LFS. I'm considering buying a group of youngsters and letting them grow on.

Same person wants rid of 3 large angels, I have no idea of colour, but there is suppose to be a pair. I am trying to avoid not going to get them. Aparantly the tank is a mess The problem I have is I have no where to put them either. If I did go and rescue the 3 would you be interested in all 3? if you can collect?

I dont know if I can go and rescue them yet, we are having a bit of a cash crisis and got no diesel in the car!

If you can find out colours and location for collection I may be able to take them. Or if you can get them and I collect from you? They need to be disease free though as they'll be going straight into a community tank as I have no quarantine.

Could maybe quarantine them if absolutely needed.

Leave it with me I will find out colours first and try and work on hubby to set up a quarantine tank. He is the one saying no to be going and sorting out her tank (again), I keep rushing over to help her out but she just doesnt clean the tank , he is getting fed up of the phone calls & text messages from her. I think calling me at 1am because she hadnt closed the lid on the filter making it leak was the final straw!

Don't worry yourself too much Star. I have just found a female angel someone can bring to the convention on Sunday. It wouldn't require quarantine and so is a better fit. It also doesn't put anyone out.

I mentioned it to my dad (who takes care of a tank at home) and he could have three angels if they do need rescuing. It sounded pretty bad so if you don't have the room and they do need rescuing I could still take them but not to pair with my male.

I have absolutely no chance of getting them this weekend, leave it with me, if your dad can collect from me that would be great, but I need to go and see them first see just how bad the tank is, the text claimed she couldnt see the fish!!

He doesn't have the fish bug like us so I doubt he'd want to travel and pick up fish. Me on the other hand, I don't mind at all.

I may be back on a weekend soon though.

She's just settling into a temporary home and will be introduced to my male on Tuesday. If they breed they should produce golds and blacks.
