Baby Boom
I now have about 20 more Platy babies, plus the original 3 born on January 6.. second batch born 26 January.. some growing faster than others.. some already showing their calico spots... the original 3 are good sized.. too big for being eaten, but I dont want to move them to the big tank until they begin eating larger food particals... am I being unreasonable? They are one month old... maybe wait another month or 2 before considering a new environment?
Re: Baby Boom
When my boyfriend had baby platies I think they were separated for about 2 month before they went in with the adults. However if they are big enough not to be eaten then they'll manage with the adults no problems

I will play all by ear for a bit.. may just hold back one more month, give them a good head start.
Re: Baby Boom
Congratulations that is a big batch of babies
I would give them a couple of months before adding them to the main tank.
