Timid Ram
First topic message reminder :
Hi all, I got some Rams last weekend and although they are stunning, healthy and coloured up they are very timid.
Each time I approach the tank they shy away and I often find the huddled in a corner of the tank. I know rams can have great little characters but they just don't show it. They're in with three plecs and the flow is medium to strong. There are lots of rocks etc and some plastic plants and yet they still don't seem happy.
Does anyone have any ideas as to why they are like this? And any tips on how I might help them settle?

Re: Timid Ram
Here's some pics of my new Rams. I now have two pairs. The original female plus two new males and one new female.
A new male and female have become the dominant pair and I think they will spawn in the community tank soon. I will be taking the eggs off them as they will not survive with plecs and angels in the tank.

Re: Timid Ram
Me either until now. The key is to buy high quality fish that are not farm bred and weak.
These spawned last night. I had to remove the eggs almost immediately after they were done before the plecs came out and ate them all.
