Nerite Snail Missng
When I bought my Rubbernose Pleco, I also bought 2 Nerite Snails. One was much smaller, and was hitch hiking, so he came home, too. I got them both in the tank, and the larger one went right to house cleaning, the smaller one began burrying himself. Later that evening before lights out, little one was once again hitch hiking. I have not been able to locate it as of yet.
Do they normally burry themselves like that? And will I see him anytime soon? Not that $3 dollars matters a whole lot, but I like to observe my critters from time to time.

snails are pretty good at hiding, never kept nerites myself, they usually turn up , just make sure your lid is on, I know apple snails can be little devils for escaping.

Woke up this morning, he is hitch hiking again.. almost like they are breeding, but Nerites don't breed in freshwater.. strange little critter..
Re: Nerite Snail Missng
Maybe no one has told him that he is not supposed to breed in freshwater lol

I got a decent look at it this morning.. it is half green, and half purple on the shell, and the little animal is green.. there are markings on the green part of the shell, but he is so small, I can't make out the detail... when he grows up, I will get a better look...
