Suitable for a 7.5 gallon tank? Empty Suitable for a 7.5 gallon tank?

I know I posted this yesterday but if there were any replies I didn't see it, so apologies if I'm asking again and you are repeating yourself to me Smile

I have an empty tank, I think it's 7.5 gallons. Dimentions are 12" wide, 12" depth and 12" high.

Can anyone recommend anything unusual to go in it?

We have a collection already so don't really want to go for the same; we have:

Male betta
Female betta
Neon Tetra
Galaxy Rasbora
Cherry Shrimp
Bumblee Bee Shrimp
Apple snails
Tylo Snails
MTS
Newts
Axolotls
Cories

(not all in the same tank obviously).

The list is what we currently have not what I'd want to put in the tank.

I just want something that isn't what we have.

Its a close call, but you could possibly do a hareem trio/quartet of Persian Killifish in that tank. There is a good profile for them at SeriouslyFish, if they take your fancy get in touch with "ricefish" (livebearer/killifish guru, happens to live close to me, must try and get to visit his fishroom sometime) and see what he reckons about having some in a 12x12x12.

Its a shame you are so far away, as I have decided to advertise pretty much everything I have that is not African riverine or Central American, including my seven Persian Killis. About the only exception is "Mr Squidgy," my male Aborichthys elongatus (Indian Red Tail Squirrel Loach).

Just had a quick look online, not 100% they'd be suitable, but how about sparkling gourami?
