Depends on the betta.
D'Artagnan ignores them completely. The guppies ignore him, so for this lot is works
My old betta would have killed them, he was a cranky pants lol

How does he do with the Cherries?? I have a female betta who picked off my small collection of cherries and bumble bees!!!

He does ok, he has picked up the adult cherreis but spits em back out and they go their merry way. Smaller ones, he may eat them.
The cherries certainly keep him amused anyway
