New Females arriving soon!
Hi All,
I have been on the hunt for some good quality females to introduce into my line and after a lot of trying I have managed to get my LFS to get some special one's in. They arrived late yesterday and will be going through quarantine until Tuesday next week. I will be popping down their tomorrow to have a look at them and hopefully take a few pics.
Can you guess why they are special!?

Re: New Females arriving soon!
I went to see them this morning but forgot my mirror so couldn't get any pics.
They're double-tail halfmoons. Some are turquoise and some are royal blue's with varying amounts of red-wash. One is even a marble turquoise.
I've got to wait a week for them to settle and then I will go in and make my decisions but the marble looks nice (if a little small).

Oh, they sound gorgeous! Especially the turquoise and marble turquoise!
I've been after some brightly coloured females for ages now, but only ever seem to find the muddy red ones Saying that, I don't dare add any new females to the tank (the male is still living with them!)

Hi All,
I went to see them today and managed to get some pics. The shop unfortunately lost two but there are still 4 good fish to choose from.
Female 1: My personal favourite due mainly to colour. Is the smallest of the four. Shows no signs of spinal deformations or poor scaling. To my eye; Has a good top line although her first dorsal fin rays are short.
Female 2: Was originally my second choice female. She has a good top line and a little red wash in the fins. She does seem to have uneven caudal lobes and her first dorsal fin rays are short. I think she also has some small scale faults.
Female 3: My new second choice female. She has a good top line and doesn't seem to have any scale faults. Her lobes are a little uneven but she has a good spread and branching.
Female 4: I'm almost certain I am not going to have this one. She is the largest of the females but has some scale faults and a not as good top line. She is otherwise a good female and could have been a lot worse.
I would very much like your opinions and thoughts on these fish as I will likely be heading in to buy them tomorrow.
Thanks!
Sam

I bought...females 1 and 3!
They were clearly the best of the bunch. They need a lot of growing up and eventually conditioning but I'm excited to see their development.
