Oh Heck :(

Dispatched dear hubby and his mate to collect a tank for me this morning. A juwel rio 180 that I had planned (if flute didnt have it) on upgrading my rio 125 to a 180.

Unfortunately Hubby & his mate have just returned with the tank, its absolutely filthy, nothing a bit of elbow grease wont cure, but the major problem is its a blooming rio 240 not a 180, it wont fit under the stairs

Yay for larger tank though right?? Lol.

Shame it won't fit where you planned for it though.

Boo not yay unfortunately, I have absolutely no where for it.

It has just taken me an hour to clean the flaps and light bar (which works yippeee) that is how dirty this tank is!!!!

Sheesh that's crazy! The state some of these tanks get in.

45 mins to just clean the plastic rim and brace bar, I have never seen algae and crud this this and it stinks!!!!!!!!! It reminds me of the tank I picked Jethro & gibbs up in sheeesh!! thankfully I dont have to clean up a filter!

Got a start on the glass, its immaculate!!!!!! I have found 2 tiny hairlike scratches so far which wont show up when water is in it. Cleaned up its stunning

Good to hear it is now all clean even though i can imagine it has taken hours. If i sell tanks i always do my best to ensure they are as clean as possible for the next person, It's mad how bad i have seen some. I hope you are able to find some where for it, sounds like you got a nice deal.

It is a shame, if it had been a 180 I would have been dancing. I do not own a tank that doesnt have scratches that you cant see when full of water, all mine have scratches somewhere. But sadly there is just no where at all in this house I can fit it

I'll ask my parents about the possibility of me buying it from you Star, but I'm not hopeful. If I had my own place I'd take it off you hands before you could blink

It'd be perfect for the Krobia though; they've gotten so much bigger they need more space.
