New Angels!!!
Hey All,
I'm very excited to be getting my hands on 2 new types of angels. I've been searching for these for months and Ste Chester managed to get his hands on some stunners for me. The should be arriving in the week.
Firstly - Albino Platinum Blue wifi Angels
Secondly - Albino Gold Marble Angels
They will form the start of an attempt to breed some albino angels.

Re: New Angels!!!
Beautiful looking, especially those Platinum Blues!
Albinos aren't usually my thing (I always feel bad about their poor eyesight ), but guaranteed to be fantastic quality from Ste Chester

Re: New Angels!!!
Thanks guys! I can't wait for them to arrive.
Ste has told me they are eating like pigs which is a good sign. I have big hopes for these guys and will be doing a number of crosses to try and play with the genetics. I've always liked albino fish and albino angels are not often seen. I know they can have bad eyesight and be harder to care for in that regard but I am hopeful they will do very well. At least it's not an in bred trait and does also occur naturally which makes me happier when using it in breeding.

Re: New Angels!!!
There's a few plans in the works for these guys AN7NY. I'm hoping to pair one of the albino marbles with a female black angel I have. This will produce some non-albino fish that will have interesting (likely marble) patterning but cross breeding two of these would give me some albino's back which would be nice as I should have strengthened the line.
The others will be grown out and either paired off together or paired with some other angels. I've seen some silver x wild crosses at a lfs which I may pick up at the weekend.
I'm getting 10 of these Flute. 6 of the platinums and 4 of the marbles. The 4 marbles will be kept with my black female angel and the platinums will get a tank of their own to grow out in. Giving me two groups to try and breed from etc.

Re: New Angels!!!
Wow, sounds like fantastic plans! Really looking forward to seeing what happens with these guys- paring one with the black angel sounds like it's going to produce some really interesting offspring.
Re: New Angels!!!
They've arrived! Just released them into their temporary accommodation with some of my Geo.Tapajos juvenilles and they seem well.
I'm going to hold off feeding them till later on once they've settled. I will attempt pics as soon as I can.

F1 Peruvian Angels:
They have the nicest red hue to the base of their dorsals but I could't capture it in the pics.

Re: New Angels!!!
I lost one of these peruvian angels
Absolutely no idea why. He was fine, eating etc and then in the morning he was gone.
All the other fish seem well and are eating great. I have moved the smaller albino platinums to my tank at home and left the albino marbles in the office tank. The marbles are doing great and the platinums are ok. I've had a little worry with them over the past day as they have been wagging and swimming erratically but they seem better tonight.

Re: New Angels!!!
Sorry to hear that Sam I hate it when that happens No symptoms and no clues as to why they've died is the worst.
Keeping my fingers crossed that the platinums will be fine

Re: New Angels!!!
I lost the other peruvian angel in the night.
I'm getting some heavy duty meds sent to me on Monday as I think the Albino's were harbouring something that now needs dealing with.

Re: New Angels!!!
What the hell, that's awful! D: Keeping my fingers crossed that it'll clear up quickly. Any idea of what it is they've got?
Re: New Angels!!!
They're half way through a course of antibiotics. All the angels are much improved. They were showing red marks at the boundary between all their fins and their bodies. Thats now gone. They've still got some marks/patches on their flanks that looks strange but I'm going to let them go through the entire course of meds before worrying about it.
They're still not 100% but are eating well and are active. Think they've grown up with it and so are used to it now. I just hope to get them over it and can concentrate on growing then on.

Re: New Angels!!!
Keeping my fingers crossed that this will be the last of it for you. Do you think the stress of having them posted could have weakened their immune systems enough to set the infection off?
Re: New Angels!!!
Hey Guys,
Just wanted to share some pics of my new Albino's. A BIG thank you to Tony from Tony's Angels for helping me bring these guys through some recent problems and are now looking much better!

Re: New Angels!!!
They're looking fantastic Sam, really glad to hear that they're doing much better now.
Re: New Angels!!!
They're definitely over it now. I moved them back to Birmingham on Friday and they're looking great. They're really gonna start growing now as they're not using all that energy to fight an infection.
I'm so excited to get them grown up and eventually breeding. I've already picked out my favourite two. Hope they turn out to be a pair.

Re: New Angels!!!
That's brilliant
Is there quite a bit of pattern variation between individuals then?

Re: New Angels!!!
These are fantastic and although I had all that trouble to begin with it has been worth it.
I'm now just waiting for them to grow up and start pairing off!
