Strawberries?? Empty Strawberries??

I read in other forums where Plecos like strawberries.. is this true? I have wild strawberries in my back yard. My friends Iguana loves them, and if it is indeed OK for my Pleco, and Weather Loaches, I am willing to harvest them, for treats... I want to make sure, first..

As far as I know they are ok as a treat, but can be messy.
