It's a Han Solo! My bristlenose plec, whom I see very little of. I've gone up to 6 weeks without seeing him. I've added even more bogwood to the tank recently and he seems to love it. He never ventures out onto the open or onto the glass, but you'll see a movement in the corner of your eye and it'll be him upside down on a piece of wood. The most I've seen of him in a very long time was when the keyholes spawned last week and he did his best to get to the eggs.

I say he, but he could be female. Doesn't seem to have very long bristles, and I've had the him for over a year now.

Hehe, meant to put this in the catfish section. Could a mod move it for me please? Smile

He's definitely a male. Do you have other bristlenose in the tank?

I'm waiting for my pair to grow up a bit before trying to breed them.

No he's the only one in there, hence Han Solo Razz My OH likes to give the fish daft names.

I'd love to be able to get another, especially one of the different colour strains, but I think even when I upgrade to my new APS tank (290ish Ltr) I don't think it'd be large enough for another plec and everything else sadly Sad

I'm sure you'll have no trouble with breeding them once they mature Very Happy
