Finally!!

I have had my male Betta for nearly 6 months. Put his tank next to my other Betta tank, but have the view blocked, so he won't spar and flare 24/7... this evening he began blowing a bubble nest for the first time... its looking quite good, and he is working hard on it...

awww, I would love to have a betta just to watch them build a nest, seen loads of pictures but I bet its fasinating to watch.

What are plans with him? Are you gonna attempt breeding?

I am not sure I have the knowledge to breed. I have a gorgeous female, and he is a wonderful color, as well.. but I don't have a grow out tank for babies, and the knowledge of breeding bettas is not with me.. just so much needs to be done with grow out... maybe when finances improve for me, I can attempt it...

It sounds like you almost have everything to try breeding. The grow out would be important though, as well as somewhere to put all the males once they mature.

Maybe in time, I will get a 20 gallon tank for a grow out tank. I have the perfect place to put it. Then would have to have another tank for male/female separation...
