Black fin albino
Hi guys,
Saw some black fin albino tiger barbs in my lfs this weekend. I haven't seen them before. They look just like "albino" tiger barbs bur with black fins. Like a cross between a normal and albino tiger barb.
Anyone kept them before? Do you recon they breed true?
Sam

Re: Black fin albino
The albino/gold tiger barb is a colour morph of the normal tiger barb (orange and black) I presume that the black fin albino is a further morph of the standard green tiger barb as they have solid black fins. I think breeding them you may get a mix of black fin albino and possibly green, but its hard to say. The most difficult bit would be sexing them, although gravid females you should easily see the eggs

I think I'd give sexing them a good go. Crossing them would be interesting, be interesting to see if they bred true or not. Only trouble is finding a space for them.
Have you seen them before star? They're quite nice.

I havnt seen black fin albino before, but when I had green tigers one was not as green as the others and had whitish patches as it got older.
