Got my rio 180

Why would someone let a tank get that bad?! I hope fish haven't been living in those conditions o.O

That's nasty!!!!

It had a background siliconed to it, so all the algae and lord knows what else was behind it.

After a bit of elbow grease its clean (I wouldnt go to bed till I finished)







Its stunning, next to no scratches, I found just 1 on the front, its tiny and a few on the back where the gravel was removed

Wowsers, hard to believe it is the same tank, good job Star!

I am really pleased with it, 3 sponges with scrubbers killed, 1/4 bottle of vinigar about 4 hours and a broken thumbnail lol

And now filled with water and fish . I just cant decide on the background, none of the ones I have suit how I have scaped it, I am thinking just a sheet of brown paper.









The major disapointment was the fact I ran out of sand

Apart from the lone neon all the fish are orange lol, metae, bisto cacs, glowlights and rummy nose, just need and orangy coloured group of small corys lol

that really looks great now.

Gone for a plain blue background, its looking nice now the wood and cones are turning the water brown

Bit of a re-scape now the branches are fully water logged, and finally got myself some java moss

Absolutely stunning, and has really inspired me for how I want to scape my tank

I know you collected the branches yourself, but what type are they? Alder or oak? Or something else?

These are alder twigs with the bark left on, I used alder in my other 180 too, I have to say I really like the alder branches. Praying for a storm so some more get blown down lol.
