Hi All,

I have a 2.5ft beta grow out tank that has a large number of beta female and young male fish in at the moment. These when larger enough will hopefully be moved on and I will start breeding another pair. I am very happy doing this but would like something a bit more permanent as well. Something that isn't so large that it could eat fry that are 0.5 - 1 inch in size but isn't so small that it would get bullied by the beta fry (who can be quite boisterous).

I have a tank I could strip eggs too so raising the fry wouldn't be a problem.

At the moment I am thinking Rams would be good. If I could find the electric blue one's at a decent price I'd snap them up but the LFS still thinks they should be £25 each when elsewhere they are less than £10 each.

All suggestions welcome,

Sam

I like these but finding a nice pair is often difficult. They tend to pop up occasionally but never consistently around here.

You can get a pair on postal delivery from Tyne Valley Aquatics (they have them in now, saw them the other day)

tynevalleyaquatics.co.uk

great shop to deal with.
